Welcome to all delegates and participants of this year’s Philippine Travel Exchange (PHITEX) with the theme “Travel is our business”.

The continuous increase in the number of buyers and sellers who participate in PHITEX made the occasion as the country’s largest and most significant annual travel trade event. This year, PHITEX 2017 is set to accommodate approximately 250 international buyers from across 40 countries worldwide and 250 local sellers from 145 companies across the Philippines.

Making this year’s PHITEX more productive to all participants,  there will be a one a half day business meetings between foreign buyers and local sellers and an education seminar that will tackle issues on  sustainable tourism, mitigation and marketing in times of crisis, and trends and forecasts of the travel industry. These topics are designed to help the local sellers adapt their product development efforts to actual market demand and evolving consumer preferences in various parts of the world.

We will also take this opportunity to show to our foreign delegates the beauty of the Philippines through organized post-tours that will equip them with product knowledge for their client engagement activities, thus enabling us to establish brand presence in their home countries through onsite visibility and OTC (over-the-counter) promotions.

Again welcome to PHITEX 2017, may this event serve as another great tourism platform for business-to-business networking to everyone; and that may its programs even embody the epitome of why it has always been more fun in the Philippines.
